HM35 HSS features
･Has the unique micro-structure and toughness of tungsten-molybdenum (W-M) type high-speed steels, with added cobalt to improve the high-temperature characteristics, and has high hardness to increase the wear resistance.
･This steel type is improved from HS53M by NACHI; by increasing the vanadium, molybdenum and carbon contents, the steel contains high hardness to enhance the wear resistance and allows each characteristic of the product to be better compatible.
･Replaces general-purpose tungsten-cobalt (W-Co) type steels, and can be used for cutting and making molds.
･Excellent machinability and grindability.
･Surface-hardening treatment is also well matched.

Hardness of HM35 HSS
64~67 HRC

Quenching of HM35 HSS
･Preheating: 550~600℃, secondary heating to 950℃ 
･Quenching: 1180~1220℃
･Quenching time: Until the center of the heat-treated workpiece is fully heated.

Tempering of HM35 HSS
･Tempering temperature: 560~580℃.
･Tempering times: Please implement at least three times.
